Normal M.Tech programme selection is done either directly through GATE or through initial GATE selection and further written test and interview. It is also called course programme, where students will be taking 12 to 14 courses (depends on the dept) to complete their course requirement, it is term-limited, you will have to complete within two years. Good for a job, also good for further studies, but you don't specialize much compared to M.Tech (research). Where students will be selected from initial GATE screening and the further research interview. M.Tech research is not term-limited, students are expected to complete within two to th

No need to have good marks. Placements only depend on your skills and knowledge like you are a good programmer then only you will get hired. Suppose, you don't like programming, but you are perfect in networking or designing field, you will get a job easily. In earlier days, the network engineering had a good demand in the market so take your choice and go ahead.

Not all the NITs are better than VIT.
The starting top 6-7 NIT are definitely better than VIT but if you get to choose between rest of the NITs and VIT choose VIT. Make sure you choose VIT, Vellore and not any other if you also want to enjoy the college life because the placement and all are same for each branch but the campus life you have in Vellore can't be compared to any other campus.
Coming to get a good score, just keep your basics clear the paper for VITEEE is easier than Mains.

I think you should go for ITM Navi Mumbai. But, ITM provides you with PGDM degree not an MBA degree. For an MBA degree, go for VIT Vellore. Overall fees is INR 5.98 Lacs. VIT MBA Admission offers two-year MBA and MBA (IB) programmes, which consists of six trimesters. Students can choose a range of elective subjects from areas such as Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Information Technology and Systems, International Business, Operations and Business Analytics. The MBA programme is offered out of the Chennai as well as Vellore campuses. The VIT MBA Admission 2018 in International business is available only at the Vellore campus.

It is a good faculty. I did my M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering from there. The course is very well designed. And the best part is, it has a lot of Project based learning courses which actually gives you an experience to work on real world problems. The faculty members are very experienced and helpful. Also the course gives you ample opportunity to learn a lot of things by your way (research as well as practical knowledge). Let me know if you have any further queries or question. I would be happy to help. Best regards.
