There is no computer science in VIT, but there is computer engineering. Frankly speaking, you won't get it in first or second round. You'll have to wait. You may get it later. All the best!

Teaching staff of VIT, Pune is relatively good. Most of them teach concepts in depth. Talking about placements from average students point of view, opportunity is given to everyone equally whether he is an average student or not, but it depends on student himself, whether he is capable of grabbing that opportunity.

In my opinion, you should select VIT, Vellore because, VIT, Vellore is a good institute for computer science and engineering.

In my honest opinion, out of the choices you've mentioned, IIIT Sri City is the best to go for and there are reasons to support this.
The first and foremost aspect that puts IIIT-S ahead of other colleges is research. The college believes in conducting research programmes that are developmental in nature and provide maximum contribution to the different fields of technology and human nature.
The second factor is the curriculum. We follow a curriculum that is modeled on the curriculum of IIIT-H.

Go for B.Tech course only from VIT, Vellore. Never ever think of doing M.Tech or any Masters from a private engineering institutes. They would low rank your profile.
