VIT Andhra Pradesh University BSc dual degree is a combination of two separate degree programmes: BSc and MSc. The dual degree programme is focused on Data Science. 

Data Science is a multi- disciplinary field that uses scientific methods, processes, algorithms to produce knowledge & insights from structured & unstructured data. The BSc - MSc curriculum is designed in such a way that the students will be industry ready by the time they complete the course. However, candidates can exit the course with BSc degree after three years and on completion of five years a  Master's degree is awarded. 

The duration of the BA + MA in Public Services course is five years, but there is an exit option after successful completion of three years with BA degree and four years with BA (Hons.) degree. On completion of the five years of the course, candidates are awarded with be awarded with two different degrees. i.e., Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree. The dual degree is designed to prepare students for the UPSC examinations along with a degree in the subject.

No, VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) does not consider SRMJEE (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination) results for admission. VIT conducts its own entrance exam, known as VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination), for admission to its B.Tech programs. To secure a seat at VIT, you must appear for and qualify in VITEEE. My research leads me to believe that VIT is a respectable college with respectable placement rates.
