GITAM is better ranked than Dinbandhu Andrews Institute. Some of the important points while selecting an institute are accreditation of the institute, institute's infrastructure, teaching faculty, specialization offered, past placements records, tuition fees, city preference, and industry interface. Hello, there is no need to prepare for CAT right from your second year. Generally, around 6 months of diligent preparation for 3-4 hours daily is enough to score well in CAT. Though you can start your preparations for it, indirectly, by improving your vocabulary (read the editorial columns of leading newspapers and other books, novels, etc) and strengthening your logical reasoning and mental calculation skills (speed maths tricks, logical puzzles, etc). Good luck!
