While both Columbia and Harvard, are part of the best universities in USA, they are also highly selective. The Columbia University acceptance rate is 4.9% for the Class of 2029, while the Harvard University acceptance rate is 3.6%. Thus, it can be said that Harvard is marginally tough to secure admissions at than Columbia, however, there is not much between them.

Former US President, Barack Obama graduated with a BA in Political Science from the Columbia College, in 1983, and later enrolled in the Harvard Law School, becoming the first black president of the Harvard Law Review.  

After his studies at Harvard Law, Barack moved to Chicago, where he helped rebuild devastated communities, due to the closure of the local steel plants. He credits his experience there, in helping him find his true identity, that ultimately shaped his path to becoming the first black US president

Bollywood Actress Sara Ali Khan, graduated with a BA in History and Political Science from the Columbia University, before embarking on her acting journey in 2018. 

Her very first film, Kedarnath, bough her a Filmfare Award, a Screen Award and an IIFA Award. Some of her other notable works include: Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Sky Force, Metro In Dino, Atrangi Re and Simmba.

Former Minister of Law and Justice of India, BR Ambedkar, attended the Columbia University, receiving a PhD in Economics in 1927, and an Honorary degree in 1952. 

Ambedkar, was the first politically prominent, and highly educated member of the Hindu "untouchable" Dalit cast in India, who fought for their civil rights and social justice.
