Oh yes, you can choose the sciences - Physics, chemistry, mathematics. Computer Science and electronics are optional subjects given to you in some colleges. Thereafter, you can do engineering in computer Science, information Science or other courses like electronics, telecommunications, instrumentation, electrical etc. And still get into IT field through a relevant job. After 12th, you can do Bachelor of computer applications or Bachelor of Science in computer applications and IT.

Hey Kuldeep,
The basic required marks in 12th are 50% for admission in here. But, then you need to appear for the personal interview conducted by the institute.
Final selection is done based on the combined result (i.e., marks obtained in 10+2 and performance in personal interview).

Hi Abhishek,
If you are really interested in applying your knowledge of computer Science to biology then in my opinion you should go for Bioinformatics or computational biology where you can make use of your programming skills (using Java, python, Bioperl etc. ). Not necessarily. You can pursue BCA, B.Sc, BBA and B.A. These are just some common options. Don't worry about B.Tech. It has already lost much of its value. Pursuing any other course would be a better option. BCA would be common choice but if you don't want to do it, then don't do it. Opt for BBA or B.Sc, etc.
