Swami Vivekananda University (SVU) in Kolkata provides a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) curriculum. SVU a private university founded in 2019 is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), which allows it to offer degrees. According to the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Act, UGC-approved universities are not required to the obtain separate AICTE clearance for their programs. While SVU's B.Tech CSE programme does not have separate AICTE accreditation the university's UGC recognition ensures its authenticity.

To secure admission to the BTech programme at Somaiya Vidyavihar University, candidates should begin by completing the pre-admission form online.
