The Dairy Technology syllabus for a BTech degree includes some core and elective subjects. It is not compulsory to give entrance test for admission to the BTech in Dairy Technology course at popular colleges in India. There are a good number of colleges that admit students on the basis of merit and often take extra assessment rounds like the GD and PI.
Having said that, you can consider giving the entrance exam as it will give you a backup option for getting admission since the merit based cutoffs are also quite high. Rest, you can check the official college websites for precise information.

The time involved in the Dairy Technology admission process varies from one college to another. Every college follows certain protocols for giving admission to students. In general, it may easily take up to a few months for you to get the final seat at a college.
There are a lot of formalities involved in the admission process like appearing for the entrance exam, filling out the college applications, result announcement, college counseling, seat allotment, course fee payment, and finally seat confirmation from your end.
