The general eligibility criteria that are followed by most colleges that offer Data Science courses in India are given below:

  • UG: Students should have completed their Class 12 from a recognised board with at least 45-50% aggregate. Many colleges accept students only if they have passed Class 12 in the Science (Chemistry,  Chemistry,  Mathematics) stream or at least with mathematics as a core subject.

Like any MS SOP, SOP for Data Science should also be crisp and precise. A lengthy SOP should certainly be avoided. You must not include your life story in detail. The focus should only be on details and experiences related to data science. An ideal word limit will be around 800-1000 words. Also, it is important to check university guidelines as few universities specify exact word limit. While writing an SOP, your analytical skills will come in handy in choosing the right information and presenting it in a right way.
