Assume you must be nervous, being in an entirely different field how you would catch-up without any basic knowledge. If so, then I would suggest to go for a post graduation programme than Diploma, where you get to cover all the basics in first semester. Speaking of courses, I would suggest fashion design, fashion styling or textile design due to lots of demand. You can start your preparation by joining any coaching which will provide you complete study material for NID
If you don't want to do any coaching, you can prepare it by yourself. You should read English on regular basis and make your English strong. GK and current affairs are must, especially fashion current affairs
Maths is a must. So, you can practice it by your 10th or 12th maths books
Try and practice sample papers of NID.

Yes, you can clear it, as you are already a designing student, that is your plus point just solve sample papers on regular basis and you will be going to be okay.

NIFT and NID are top in all the design exams. Pearl Academy is also a good option.
