Of course, internships and industrial visits are an important part of the MFTech program. Usually, the first three semesters of the course have theoretical subjects, and the last semester is allocated for internships, project work, industrial visits, etc. These activities help students gain exposure to the real working world, polish their communication skills, and grow their network. Hope this will help you :)

Though I believe MFTech is a postgraduate degree programme capable enough to land you a decent job role in the Design industry, however, if really want to study further, in my opinion, getting an MBA degree or a PhD will benefit you a lot.
An MBA degree in either Fashion Management or any relevant discipline related to your field of interest will open doors to leadership roles with higher salary prospects.

Hi, to get admission to a good MFTech college in India, you will need to fulfill the eligibility criteria of your desired college, prepare and crack the entrance exam (if applicable), and clear group discussion and personal interview (GDPI) rounds.

Most MFTech colleges provide admission on the merit-based system. Hence, candidates prepare for NIFTs will need to prepare for NIFT entrance. Hope this helps :)

Whether MFTech is better or MFM depends on your field of interest. While the Master of Fashion Management (MFM) is more inclined towards the Fashion Business and Management, the Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech) teaches the technical elements of Fashion, such as garment production, textile science, and quality control.
So, if you want to get into the marketing and business part of the Fashion industry, you can choose MFM. However, if the Engineering part of the Design industry excites you, then go for MFTech.

I believe NIFT's Delhi campus is the best among all the other campuses. It is the highest in ranking and has one of the best placements. But this doesn't mean that other NIFT campuses are lesser known or valuable.

For example, NIFT Mumbai will get you the best connections and industry exposure, NIFT Bangalore has the top companies, and NIFT Chennai has one of the best locations to work at.

BFTech is a great course option for students who want to gain both Design and technical exposure. However, some may feel challenges like:

  • High competition in the Design industry.
  • High expectations from employers.
  • Constantly evolving trends can be overwhelming to keep up with.
  • Cost of BFTech education can be financial burden for some students.

This depends on the campus placement. If the company finds suitable candidates, they can offer them a good package; otherwise, getting a very high salary package just after graduation is difficult. The placements also vary from year to year. However, with relevant experience and expertise, the salary package can increase.

Though the campus placement packages vary depending on the colleges, the average placement packages for BFTech go from INR 5.5 LPA to 9 LPA. The salary packages increase eventually when you gain relevant experience in the industry and polish your skills.
