In the 1st year of the BDes Product Design course, you'll learn about the Design basics like its introduction, principles, typography, etc. The 1st year syllabus also covers sketching techniques, 2D & 3D drawing, manufacturing process, history of design, etc. Along with the theory subjects, many colleges also start training students with projects and assignments.

Yes, having prior work experience or a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design is not mandatory to join the MFTech course. However, coming from a different field, you will need to have some basic sketching and Design principles skills and a passion for learning a different avenue.

I believe it is not possible to decide on one, as it completely varies depending on the company size, location, relevant experience, job position, etc.. For example, Famous Designers with a good reputation will definitely get more money for their designs. On the other hand, Design Manufacturers of a big company can also get a decent salary package based on their job position, relevant experience, and expertise.

According to some candidates, the NIFT entrance test is challenging but not impossible to crack. You'll need to dedicatedly prepare for a few months to get your hands on the quantitative aptitude and reasoning abilities section.

Of course, apart from NIFTs, most MFTech colleges in India offer admission based on the merit system. However, if you're preparing for NIFT, then you will need to prepare for the NIFT entrance exam

MFTech and MSc Fashion Design are different due to their focused area. The MFTech course is more on the technical and managerial side of the fashion industry, such as garment manufacturing, quality management, production, and merchandising.
On the other hand, MSc Fashion Design focuses more on the ethical, social, ecological, and cultural aspects of the design industry.
