For BDes course candidates should have passed Class 12 with atleast 60% marks. Clearing entrance test is mandatory for admission. Candidates should have good communication and presentation skills.

The quality of placement is very good every year. Many international companies come to select talented students. Selection depends upon the interview, not on the marks. If a student has talent, then he can be qualified by higher-level companies. One has to develop both mentally and physically, for which training is given by the college. Most of the students are getting placed in the reputed companies that provide the highest package of INR 20 lacs and provide the lowest package of INR 10 lacs and average package of INR 15 Lakh. They also provide internships for students and offer top roles.

Yes, NIFT-Bhubaneswar a good college for B.Des
It's NIFT! One of the leading colleges in the country especially for something like Fashion Design
You get a degree from NIFT which doesn't mention your centre whatsoever. So no need to be worried about the so-called associated reputation with a relatively newer centre
The experience is made up not only your campus and courseware but your batchmates, other students in school, faculty members and your mindset. I am sure NIFT Bhubaneswar has all of these things to offer

- B.Des is a perfect career option who look innovative and creative jobs in future.
- B.Des is a 4 year course with various specializations and have a variety of choises to choose from.
- In this institute it comes with a total fee package of 9.1 L.
- It is a good college with a good infrastructure to pursue design as a career.
- Design is something which should be learnt by ones own interest.
- so if you are truly into designing, it is a highly recommended course.

Expected NID DAT cut off 2024 has been updated on this page. Candidates can also check past year's NID cutoff to get an idea on opening and closing ranks for admission. As per previous year NID cutoff, the NID DAT cutoff marks for General category was 50. National Institute of Design will release the NID DAT cutoff 2024 pdf along with result at admissions.nid.edu. The minimum cutoff for the Master of Design (M.Des) programme at Shantaben Manubhai Patel School of Studies and Research in Architecture and Interior Design (SMAID) varies depending on the discipline and the candidate’s category. For the open category, the cutoff ranges from 55.2 (for Lifestyle Accessory Design) to 72.3 (for Toy & Game Design).
