When natural purification of blood (by kidneys) stops, it becomes necessary to intervene and perform artificial purification. Dialysis is the artificial purification process of blood. Using dialysis process, it is possible to remove waste, excess of water and other unwanted fluid from the blood of patients. In modern hospitals and clinics offering dialysis treatment, hemodialysis machines are used to perform artificial purification process. In short, when it comes to dialysis technology course, students are trained to operate dialysis equipment, inspect and maintain it. Other than technical training, subjects like human anatomy and physiology, renal diseases, other relevant diseases, blood chemistry etc. Are also covered in this course. After completing the course, dialysis technicians may work under the supervision of specialised Doctors and Nurses at hospitals or healthcare setups offering dialysis treatment.
