A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. The first option you have is B.Arch
For this you have to take entrance examination. Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Hyderabad offers the course.
Lateral entry into engineering courses. After diploma you can take entrance examination and get into second year of BE/ B.Tech programmes. You can opt for civil engineering or any other branch you are interested in.
The second option is to take Section 'A' and Section 'B' examinations given by the Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE). The degree is treated on par with BE/ B.Tech programmes. The eligibility criterion is threeyear polytechnic diploma or +2 in MPC with at least 45 per cent marks. This course is suitable for both students and working professionals.
