Sambalpur University, Odisha, offers no Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed) via distance education. M.P.Ed is essentially a contact programme requiring both practical as well as theoretical trainings-a full-time regular course-since it's challenging for the same to be provided over distance mode. Nevertheless, students can refer to the department of Distance Education for a more updated list of information, as their offerings also change from time to time. The University of Madras offers a Distance Education B.Ed. programme meant for in-service teachers.
This course is normally of two-year duration and covers subjects like Education in Emerging India, Childhood and Growing Up, Contemporary India and Education, Language across the Curriculum, Understanding Disciplines and Subjects, and Pedagogy of School Subjects.
