The Directorate of Distance Education of Kurukshetra University is a distance learning institution of Kurukshetra University. The institute is approved by the Joint Committee of UGC-AICTE-Distance Education Council. Further, the DDE Kurukshetra University is accredited with National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with “A” Grade. Therefore, the BA degree offered at DDE KUK is valid and is equivalent to any regular BA degree. 

The course curriculum includes subjects related to the selected specialisation. Hence, Alagappa University BA in Tamil syllabus includes subjects related to the history and more about the language. Some of the subjects included in the course curriculum are:

• History of Tamil Nadu, etc.

Through the Directorate of Distance Education, Alagappa University offers three-year BA course across different specialisations. Students fulfilling the minimum eligibility requirement shall be directly admitted to the programme. Mentioned below are the course specialisations:

University of Madras, Dr D.Y. Patil Arts, V.P. Institute of Management Studies & Research, and Xaviers Institute of Business Management Studies  and Indian School of Business Management and Administration are some universities that offers advanced Diploma in Tax Consultancy Management.

Unfortunately, There is no LLB programme through distance mode. As per the guidelines framed by Bar Council of India, LLB programme will be offered through regular mode due to the importance of moot court, complex course module. If any university offer this course through distance mode, than the degree is not valid and not acceptable further to get the license from bar council. However, you can get a good job after completing your current education, M.Com.

Kurukshetra University is currently accepting applications for its distant education programmes for the 2024 academic year. Admission is offered for a variety of undergraduate courses such as BA, BCom, and BSc, as well as postgraduate courses such as MA, MCom, MBA, and MSc. The application procedure began on June 1, 2024, and the deadline to apply is July 31, 2024. The application fee is INR 600 for the general category and INR 150 for the SC, ST, and OBC categories. Eligibility for UG courses involves graduating 10+2 with at least 50% marks, whilst PG course aspirants must have a relevant bachelor's degree with at least 55%.
