LLB distance education course is a distance learning law degree where individuals can pursue a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree through remote learning methods. However, it is not recognised by BCI, but students who want to have knowledge about the field can think of pursuing it.

As per the Bar Council of India (BCI) rules, LLB is a professional course and cannot be pursued through distance learning and also there are no institutes that offer distance LLB course in West Bengal.

No, the LLB distance education is not approved by BCI, which means you cannot practice law after studying LLB from distance education and you cannot also pursue LLM after it.

To be admitted to a distant LLB program, candidates must have earned at least 55-50 percent in their bachelor's degree in any discipline from any recognised university. However, candidates from Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes receive a 5% grade relaxation at every law school and university in India.

No, the three-year LLB course can be pursued only after completing graduation. To pursue Law after Class 12, you need to enroll in courses such as BA LLB, BCom LLB, BBA LLB and BSc LLB. Hence, candidates who wish to enter into the legal education right after Class 12 can plan for integrated degree directly after Class 12 instead of doing LLB after graduation. Distance LLB can be pursued by those who are working professionals.

Candidates completing their Distance LLB degree cannot enter a legal profession, as the distance course is not recognised by BCI. Due to its lack of getting recognised by the BCI, various top recruiters and institutions do not hire candidates who have pursued LLB in distance or correspondence mode. Therefore, candidates are requested to pay special attention to the mode of education of LLB course in order to secure their career opportunities.

No, the CLAT is conducted only for admissions to regular five-year LLB courses and LLM courses. CLAT entrance examinations are conducted for full-time recognised five-year LLB programmes. For admission to a Distance LLB degree, candidates have to check the admission process of the university/law colleges. Hence, candidates need not appear CLAT entrance examination for Distance LLB courses and can directly secure admission in colleges.

As per the eligibility criteria of the LLB course, candidates holding a bachelor's degree in any discipline can pursue the course. No such requirement for Mathematics as a mandatory subject for admission to an LLB course. In general, neither traditional LLB programs nor remote learning LLB programs require mathematics as a prerequisite for studying law. Instead of emphasizing quantitative abilities, law programs generally emphasize legal concepts, principles, and analytical capabilities.
