Candidates with qualifications in B.E. / B.Tech. or equivalent degree should have qualified and hold valid GATE score card.
For the M. Des. Programme – Candidates with qualifications in BE/ B.Tech./ B.Des./ B.Arch. degree, should have qualified in GATE/CEED/CAT and hold a valid scorecard. So, yes it's very hard to get admission in IISc.

The GATE Exam result date for Division of Mechanical Sciences Indian Institute of Science IISc is already released on 19 March, 2025. The scorecards of the GATE results are also released from March 28 2025. Candidates can check their results through the GOPAS portal by login to the website with their credentials like the enrollment or roll number and password to see their results.
