Well, according to me, going to the college and pursuing degree is best and effective than online or distance education. In distance education, you can't learn as effective as college goers. In distance education, it keeps on going as per the syllabus, and if you encounter any doubt, you need to write it down and send them and wait until they reply. If you are learning through a video, you have to rewind the video again and again and watch the concept carefully until and unless you understand the concept. Now, the first and foremost thing is, about the placements in long distance education? In colleges, there will be some placements provided to the students. Colleges provide industrial visits, which gives a clear cut clarity about how production house works and how an industry runs. Internships are being provided to the students of the college. But, coming to the long distance education, the question is, what kind of placements will they'll provide? How can they provide? Through which means will they provide? In a distance education the students are provided with just theoretical knowledge. So, finally I want to say that distance education is only for certification purpose. But, if you really want to learn something, then Mount Carmel College is the best. All the best for your future.

Normally, distance and online education of management will not support much to anybody after completion of the course, especially in India. The organisatons do consider the degree for the placement but after proving in the career. Distance education is very much helpful only those who are doing job already. Amity Directorate of Distance Education still needs to take strides and achievement and reputation in the market place. However, one's own skills would be helpful to prove in the interview and group discussion process. Still you want to pursue distance education course. It is better to perceive from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi which has got good reputation domestically and as well as internationally. I'd suggest you to better go for IGNOU programmes.

There are many options to venture into to be a part of the tourism sector; public and private. The following are some of the profiles one can look into:
Tourism Department: There are jobs as Reservation and counter staff, Sales and marketing staff, Tour Planners and Tour guides. There is also the requirement of Information assistants at the office of the Tourism departments who are selected through competitive examinations held by the Staff Selection Commission. The option of working as a Guide is also listed under the tourism department as the Ministry of Tourism recognizes three types of guides; regional, state and local.
Airlines: One can opt between being the ground staff or in-flight staff. Apart from working as Airhostess/ Stewards, you can look into the option of Traffic Assistance, Reservation and Counter Staff, etc.
Hotels: The Hotel Industry being a service industry, serves the basic requirement of food and accommodation. One can choose from Operations, Front office, House keeping, Food and Beverages, Accounting, Engineering/ Maintenance, Sales, Public relations and Security, etc as one of the many departments to work with.
Tour operators: They are the ones who help organize conducted tours to the various tourist spots and manage the travel and stay of the tourists.
Travel Agents: Travel agents evaluate the requirements of tourists and businessmen and help them make the best possible travel arrangements from the many available. Many resorts, travel groups use travel agents to promote their tour packages to travellers.
Transport: Apart from airlines, travellers require rail services, coach operators, car hire companies to go from one place to another - by air, road, railway, sea etc. All this is taken care by the ones handling transport.
