Honestly, the hostel rooms in the new GIBS campus are pretty spacious. It's not that “tight hostel vibe” you usually imagine. You can keep your stuff, move around, and not feel suffocated.

And the common areas are big enough for everyone to chill — whether it's group study, gossip, or just scrolling reels with friends. Plus, because the new campus has a lot of greenery around, it feels nicer to just sit and relax there instead of being stuck in the room.

I'd say the overall vibe is comfortable and open, nothing cramped, nothing dull. Just the kind of space you'd actually enjoy living in.

Weekends at GIBS are actually pretty fun. Sometimes there are sports matches going on, sometimes cultural stuff or club events, and sometimes it's just everyone chilling around campus. Mind Valley is one of those spots where people sit, talk, listen to music, and relax. It's a nice break after a packed week, and honestly the vibes are good because you get time to enjoy the campus, meet friends, and just unwind without rushing anywhere.

To develop a Global Perspective, GIBS incorporates International Perspectives throughout its academic curriculum through the IRE (Industry - Research - Entrepreneurship) initiative designed to expose students to International Business Practices and Emerging Global Trends.

The IRE programme allows students to engage with Global Case Studies, Innovation Challenges, and Real World Projects and conduct Research Assignments on International Business Practices. Students experience an industry focused curriculum and learn about International Business through Guest Lectures and Industry Interactions, Forums for Entrepreneurship and Collaboratio

GIBS is pretty flexible with entrance exams. They accept CAT, MAT, CMAT, KMAT, XAT, and even ATMA. A few of my batchmates came through state-level exams also, and some had both CAT and MAT scores. It honestly makes the process easier because you don't get stuck with only one exam option.

I personally felt it's helpful for students like us who are juggling between different exams, because GIBS doesn't make it overly complicated. Even if the score isn't extremely high, they still look at your profile, interview performance, and motivation to study PGDM or MBA. So the entrance exams matter, but they don't keep it overly stressful or gate-k

GIBS is actually pretty active when it comes to global exposure. They have collaborations with different foreign universities and organizations, so we get to attend international guest lectures, webinars, and certificate programs. Students also get chances for global immersions, study tours, exchange-like experiences, and even international internships if they're interested.

Honestly, these things help a lot because you hear how business works in other countries, and it broadens your mindset beyond just Indian markets. Even CPMP and IRE programs bring in foreign trainers and entrepreneurs, which keeps things global and updated. For plac

From what I have seen, GIBS makes the admission process pretty easy for international students. The team actually guides you step by step for documents, fee payment, visa process, and even small doubts about accommodation and travel. A few of my classmates from abroad shared that they didn't feel lost because the counsellors kept in touch through calls and emails.

Once you join, the campus culture is also friendly so you don't feel out of place. They mix academics with a lot of activities, so settling in becomes smoother. I honestly feel GIBS tries to give a proper global exposure environment, not just for Indian students, but also for

Honestly at GIBS the academic environment is pretty decent. It is disciplined enough to keep you serious about studies but not like strict or stressful. There is regular work like assignments, presentations and projects so you stay engaged and don't lose touch.

Workload feels okay because there's good support from faculty and coordinators if you are stuck or need help. Overall it feels manageable and actually useful for placements and career stuff. It's not that boring textbook type environment, more practical and supportive.

The GIBS Business School campus has been developed as a hub of student learning and engagement, with a modern design that supports collaborative activities and student services in a natural environment. Landscaped areas create a green space on campus that provides quiet areas to study and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the classroom, which helps students remain focused. Academic buildings have been designed to have a contemporary appearance, with well-lit environments and spacious learning environments for students, all equipped with modern technology to aid in their learning and to maximise opportunities for collaboration. I honestly feel they've made the whole fee part very flexible and student-friendly. Not everyone can arrange the full amount at once, so the installment and semester-wise payment options really help. On top of that, scholarships based on CAT/MAT/CMAT and merit make it easier for students who genuinely deserve a chance.

I've also seen classmates get scholarships around 75,000 which actually makes a big difference for families. What I liked is that GIBS keeps things transparent—no random surprise charges or unnecessary “extra fees”, and overall it feels more accessible compared to many B-schools in Bangalore.
