In my experience, classes are structured well, so I focus properly during lectures and complete assignments on time. I don't keep work pending. That really helps during exams.

For placements, preparation starts early here. We regularly have aptitude practice, mock interviews, presentations, and soft skills sessions. Because it's part of our routine, I never felt like I had to suddenly start preparing at the last minute.

Along with that, I also take part in club activities and events. Honestly, those activities helped me improve my confidence and communication skills. I usually manage extracurriculars after classes or during event days, without affecting my studies.

From the beginning of their first year, GIBS Business School provides students with structured placement training so that they will be ready to work when they finish school. There are finishing school modules where students will participate in aptitude training, communication skills, and personality development. Students take part in group discussions, presentations, and practice for interviews to gain confidence and improve their interview performance.

The school conducts workshops on writing a resume, etiquette in a corporate setting, and counselling to help students understand job expectations from potential employers. Continuous guest lectures and leaders are responsible for providing students with information concerning the job placement environment they will be facing once they graduate.

Throughout their program, students will participate in internships and other ways of obtaining practical experience. The continuous and structured development of students at GIBS Business School will prepare them with the skills, confidence, and professionalism necessary to execute any level of job.

The teaching approach at GIBS Business School is a hybrid of hands-on and academic learning, utilizing many ways to apply and experience theoretical concepts within businesses. The faculty at GIBS integrates real-world business practices with educational content through use of; case studies, live projects, internships, site visits, and regular visits from industry guest speakers. 

GIBS also incorporates; finishing-school modules/tools, communication/aptitude training sessions, and leadership workshops into their instructional curriculum, all of which are often underutilised in competitive B-schools. GIBS provides a comprehensive learning environment, as every instructor has both academic credentials, and valued industry experience.

The corporate relations and placement teams maintain strong business relationships with all of these organisations through regular engagement and relationship-building activities including guest lectures, corporate meetings, and networking opportunities between current students and alumni.

Internships and live-projects are integrated into the PGDM curriculum; therefore, they are mandatory aspects of the PGDM programme. The corporate relations and placement teams will work with organisations to deploy projects that align with the specialisation of the students, such as finance, marketing, human resources, analytics & operations. This systematic approach to continuous provision of practical experience, enables students to apply theoretical business knowledge from the classroom to real-world scenarios throughout their PGDM studies.

GIBS Business School develops students for new roles in the fields of digital marketing, analytics, fintech, and consulting through constantly evolving curriculum and implementing industry driven learning strategies. The programme encompasses professional courses, certification programs, and experiential modules that focus on new age industries (i.e., Digital Marketing Tools, Business Analytics Software, Fintech Concepts, & Consulting Frameworks).

Students receive practical experience by completing live projects, internships, case studies, and/or assignments, as well as participating in workshops, guest lectures, and mentorship from industry leaders which gives them current information regarding the most up-to-date industry trends/tools/technologies.

In combination with skill development programs, aptitude training, and the preparation for placement, GIBS prepares graduates to take on specialised roles within rapidly growing sectors. Academic faculty provide students with a solid foundation through core management principles, frameworks and academic research based on academic teachings. In contrast, industry practitioner and visiting faculty members provide students with useful, practical information relating to daily operations within their respective corporations, including current market conditions; case studies; and examples of how companies operate in relation to each other, etc.

This balance between both academic and industry faculty allows students to learn both the meaning of what type of action or behaviour is involved and how those actions and behaviours are used within the context of business. Industry faculty will typically share with students examples of the types of real problems they have faced and the types of decisions they have made, and what type of expectations they have for employees working at their companies. This will help create an engaging classroom environment through shared experiences; thus providing students with an integrated learning experience of theory through practice, and as a result, prepare them to perform with confidence in their new corporate careers.
