GIBS offers students a well-rounded education by allowing students to manage their time effectively. Core academic classes, case discussions, and project work are supported by student clubs, sports, cultural events, and volunteer opportunities throughout the school day. While core academic courses have priority over all other activities and are offered during regular business hours, the Institute strongly encourages students to participate in extra-curricular clubs, inter-school competitions, industry events, fitness classes, and cultural events. These events are typically held on evenings and/or weekends, but the scheduling of these events allows students to manage their time effectively to develop critical skills such as Time Management, Team Work, Leadership, and Creative Skills. A complete and rounded College Experience allows students to actively participate in Day-to-Day College Activities while simultaneously providing students with a solid Industry-Oriented Education.

Industry Exposure at GIBS Business School is integrated into the curriculum as a continuous and structured part of instruction, rather than just one event. GIBS conducts the following types of activities to keep students connected with industry:

• Guest Speaker Series (also called Corporate Talks) are held on average every month to every other month throughout the term to bring industry leaders (many of whom are HR professionals) into campus as speakers to give Motivating Talks and share their insights about the industries they represent.
• Industry visits (multiple visits scheduled and organised each semester) allow students to gain first-hand knowledge of the operation of businesses in different industries, i.e. manufacturing, logistics, finance, and IT. These visits offer students a better understanding of the Industry from an operational perspective.
• Alumni Sessions & Webinars (held regularly by the GIBS alumni who return to campus for career events to share their career experiences) occur most frequently prior to placement and internship activities, during which time alumni are able to inform students of the expectations they had when they entered the workforce and give advice about how best to prepare for interviews.

By focusing on interactive activities like case studies, live project work, role-play and simulation activities, using Management Games and Group Participation Activities throughout the programme allows students to be actively involved with their education rather than just listening to lectures from their professors. Workshops provide students with opportunities for hands-on practice of what they learned in class. They also provide students with opportunities to meet professionals working in various industries and to participate in Idea Pitching sessions and Entrepreneurial Challenges, which enable students to practice and develop the skills required to succeed when starting a business or working for someone else. Campus clubs, Cultural Activities, Fest days, Sports, and Innovation Activities create a unique atmosphere on campus where students can connect with each other in ways that promote collaboration and enjoyment while developing practical skills and confidence.

The GIBS Business School has developed a large, varied group of corporations that benefit both student internships and final job placements. In terms of final job placements, over 260 companies were represented during the most recent placement periods, demonstrating an extensive range of industries represented by each company. The companies that have selected from over a dozen industries, such as IT & consulting, Banking & Financial Services, FMCG's, E-commerce, Analytic, Motor Vehicles, Manufacturing, Retail, and Fintech, provide students with a scope of options when it comes to their chosen career path. With respect to internships, 80 - 90+ different companies provide valuable internships for students and many companies will subsequently provide pre-placement offers to high-performing students. Additionally, GIBS also facilitates student participation in startups by linking students to new venture opportunities and the entrepreneurial ecosystem, as well as providing resources to help establish more than 30 student-led startups on campus. Overall, GIBS has a broad, active and well-networked corporate network that assists students in finding employment both in traditional organisations and in new startup environments.

The GIBS has invested in creating a supportive environment for students through its new campus. Students will experience an enhanced ability to focus during their studying and downtime by providing a calm and thoughtful design with a focus on student need. The classrooms are equipped with modern technology and large windows providing ample natural light, along with designated academic quiet zones, which will assist students in concentrating during lectures and while studying independently. The open green spaces, courtyard areas, and communal areas allow for an opportunity to recharge during breaks in between class periods. Within the new facility, there are also areas designed specifically for student recreation and relaxation that provide a distraction-free environment to relax and rejuvenate mentally, increasing productivity. The entire GIBS campus is a well-designed combination of structure and space to allow students the opportunity to remain engaged, motivated, and energized throughout each day.

Almost all eligible students at GIBS Business School, Bangalore, obtain internship placement indicating the school's commitment to preparing students to be ready to work in an industry setting through hands-on experience. Approximately 80-90 companies come to the institute annually to provide students with internships across all industries, including marketing, finance, IT/ITES, consulting, FMCG, and analytics. The average stipend that students receive each month while completing their internships is approximately ₹15,000; some of the top companies such as KPMG have been paying stipends up to ₹54,000 per month in recent seasons demonstrating the value of these internships and the compensation associated with them.

The growth of the GIBS campus through relocation has brought about major transformations to GIBS' resources and facilities as they now have upgraded and improved classrooms, luxury villas as hostels, conference halls, training facilities and sports areas. As well as, providing students with a wide array of sporting options such as football, cricket, basketball and pickleball to enhance the overall student experience. The focus of the educational environment is experiential based through outbound training, hands-on learning and very interactive. It allows for students to have a healthy learning, growing and practicable climate that enables them to be able to accomplish their educational goals and develop themselves in a career-oriented environment.

At GIBS, the academic vibe is honestly pretty smooth. There's discipline, but it doesn't feel stressful or too strict. Classes run on time, things are organized, and you're expected to be regular — but it feels fair.

The workload is manageable. Some weeks are busy with projects or presentations, some are lighter, so it balances out. It's not just about finishing work, you actually end up learning along the way. And whenever something feels confusing or heavy, the faculty is approachable — you can talk to them after class or even casually ask doubts.

Overall, it feels like a focused but comfortable environment — you're kept on track, supported when needed, and slowly pushed to do better without pressure.
