With time, the demand of CSE branch will decrease and eventually the core branch will be in scope as before. As we know, we are getting technologically advanced so we will be lacking manpower for this sector, whereas, CSE has a lot of resources still.

All these domains are great and have excellent career prospects in future. So, choose according to your interest and passion. Choose that branch which you like and understand the most. Go into that branch which you know the basics and have passion and determination for. And in your heart you know that you will achieve greatness in this field. Both fields have their own scope and variety. Nowadays, there are less number of placements in civil branch. But, the thing which matters is your interest. So, google about syllabus and what content they have. And try to analyse your interest.

To be very frank, these days I feel there is more scope for interdisciplinary work as compared to working on specifically one core domain. Even the research funding for basic research and research in core fields in reducing day by day as there is a lot less area left to work on.

Hi Abdul,
There are many areas you can choose from like VLSI, Nanotechnology, Embedded sciences etc. You can do your Masters in a specialization you are interested in. Choose a sector which is versatile like power generation, embedded systems etc because in EE many areas become obsolete like telephones etc. You can also check the SOL of Australia and see areas in demand and then choose.
