The placements are above average. But, its improving with every year.
ASIAN PAINTS, SAP LABS, TCS is the highest recruiters.
For all engineering branch, good companies like FIAT, Asian paints, Mahindra, Adani, MUsigma, Deloitte, Trident, Vedanta and many more. Regularly visit for placements.

HBTU, Kanpur is a better option as it is old and renowned and also has good placement record while IIIT, Ranchi is very new and also it doesn't have much experienced faculty. College wise, HBTU is very good but I think, branch wise ECE is better as it is a new branch with modern technology needs. You can go for any college but chances of placement will be nearly nil in IIIT, Ranchi.

EEE at BNMIT Bangalore is good. As far as placements are concerned, companies like Accenture and Infosys
