Yes, you can change your branch from EE to ECE. But you need to appear in the entrance with ECE as your desired branch. At the time of filling the application, ECE should be your preferred branch. Best of luck.

I am assuming you to be of general category. If you are not getting any NIT or IIITs. First participate in JoSAA counselling. Then go for Thapar University. Chandigarh University

You have to give first priority to Jobs after completion of Diploma course. Because the gap of one or two years after completion of Diploma can put you behind the lacs of students. Today competition is very intense, hence needs to be careful about the jobs. Railways, PWD, CPWD, State electricity boards and government PSUs are the major recruiters.
