John if you are not sure about your knowledge in the domain you have done your engineering in and you want to get a good package, I would highly recommend you to go for higher studies. If engineering doesn't interests you, you can go for MBA. Invest 2 more years in your MBA and you will yield the fruits through your life.

Being in line with your diploma in EEE you should be going for B.Tech in your relevant stream. When you are going for a private college. It would be better if you would apply for premier colleges Like SRM, Lovely professional University, VIT etc. You would get a goos scholarrship too at these best colleges. I would suggest take admission in a more reputed institute rather If you have an option.
