I think you should go for NIT-Surat if you need an NIT tag, because RVCE is a private college.
Or go for RVCE if your first priority is CSE.

Many govt agencies including PSU's give opportunities to youngsters to learn practical aspects and are offered facilities and also stipend. But it's only after graduation. Though some private companies offer summer internships.

Both these branches, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering are based on the concepts of physics only. Mechanical deals with kinetics, thermodynamics, etc. while electrical deals with AC current and its applications.
So, you really need to know the basics very well and have good solving skills with conceptual clarity.

No there is no such rules for distance diploma in engineering, you have to go for full time diploma in engineering.

What is is you question, I don't clearly get? But, if you have to do M.Tech, you have to first finish your Bachelor's degree in engineering in any stream. Then, according to your stream, you have multiple field in branch.

6th sem is preferred to go for industrial training because till then you're ready to learn those core concepts which are used in the firm and could co-relate well.
