MNNIT Allahabad saw a fluctuating trend for admission to the BTech in Electrical Engineering course over three years for the OBC category students under the HS quota. Comparing the JoSAA Round 6 cutoff, the closing rank was 4710 in 2023; the cutoff rank saw a significant jump in 2024 with a cutoff closing at 19387. In 2025, the cutoff rank further decreased to 4845 for admission to BTech in Electrical Engineering. This pattern signifies that the competition for B.Tech in Electrical Engineering keeps fluctuating; however, in 2025 it was particularly hard for aspirants to avail admissions.

Among colleges in Gujarat for Electrical Communication Engineering, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (NIT) Surat stands out clearly as the best choice based on infrastructure, placements, and fee structure. It is a government institute known for excellent labs, modern classrooms, and strong industry connections. The placement record is robust with many top companies recruiting, offering average packages around eight Lacs five hundred thousand rupees per annum and above. The fee for the entire B.Tech course is reasonable for a government college, approximately one Lacs sixty-eight thousand rupees in total.

No, it is unlikely that you can get NITs for electrical engineering with SC rank of 14188 in JEE main 2025

You cannot get top branches in top NITs but you can look for less competitive NITs like:

  • NIT Nagaland
  • NIT Mizoram
  • NIT Sikkim
  • NIT Arunachal Pradesh
  • NIT Puducherry

IISER Bhopal isn't the place for a typical B.Tech in Computer Science or Electrical. They're more into pure sciences and research stuff. You'll find BS-MS dual degrees, a BS in Engineering Sciences, and integrated PhD programs there—not the regular engineering tracks. If you're aiming for a classic B.Tech in CS or EE, better stick to IITs, NITs, IIITs, or solid private colleges.

51493 rank in JEE Mains is not bad if you've got a category or home state quota. You can try NITs like Mizoram, Meghalaya, Srinagar for CSE or Electrical. Some IIITs and GFTIs too like IIIT Bhagalpur or GKV Haridwar might be open for admission. Not top tier but still decent government options
