The time involved in the M Tech in Electrical Engineering course can easily take up 3 to 5 months because of the amount of formalities involved. The rank that you require to target for a particular specialisation at IIT Roorkee would depend on the category you belong to. If you belong to the General AI category, then you must target a rank of below 2033 for Electrical Engineering, as per the last round. 

If you belong to the OBC AI category, then your target should be a rank below 1012. For the SC AI and ST AI category candidates, the target rank for Electrical Engineering should be below 560 and 298, respectively. 

IIT BHU EE syllabus include subjects that are focused on core topics of Electrical. It has both theory and practical subjects. With a good course curriculum, the foundation becomes strong.
