As I was AJEE aspirant and I got the same rank (about 32000) in my first attempt I think I am eligible to answer your question. As JEE 2020 results were declared I was broke completely. 2 years of sheer hardwork and dedication went in vain. I didn't even want to register for Josaa'20 as I knew it would fetch me nothing what I desired. So I made a decision about taking a drop as I neither wanted to get into a private college nor I could afford it is expenses. I dropped. JEE 2021
After 1 year of rigorous practice and hardwork. It was time for (D-Day) 8th April 2021. Luckily or unluckily (I do not know what to say xD) my exam centre was my own school DAV public school Bistupur. I saw the toughest JEE Mains paper of the decade (even today I get chills thinking about that paper, it was created by Satan himself xD). I (bubbled) my exam and after 3 hours rushed towards my father. And he asked, (Beta exam kaisa Gaya) I said, (Ram Bharosa and ahi firse drop na krna pade). When the results were declared atleast I got a rank (16000) good enough to get NIT Trichy metallurgy. In the end of the day after all this I am satisfied with whatever I got. As you are same situation as I were, my suggestion would be to you take drop and study as hard as possible for this 1 year and you will definitely get a better rank.

Today, significant research is going on in artificial intelligence, which is also being incorporated into every field. Computer Science and Engineering is a core branch, and there are always evergreen opportunities for it. It is a subset of computer Science and engineering (Artificial Intelligence). You have ample opportunities in the research field with high salaries. If you have an interest in this field, you may very well choose this branch. Most engineering candidates choose electronics and communication engineering. Though there are many opportunities for this branch, most of the students get placed in software companies. Today's world is very competitive, so you have to prove yourself to be the best in whatever branch you choose. Everything depends on how you use it. I hope this will help you.
