I am also a student from Hyderabad. As per my view, by studying at CBIT or NIT Warangal, you will lose the opportunity to live in other state and exposure to a kind of different situation. The bondage formed with your friends is more strong when you people are away from your home town. So if you are not really interested in biotech, just leave NITW. I suggest you to join any other NIT according to your rank, rather than joining even JNTU Hyderabad. Yes, you can but it mainly depends on the rank. You will surely get one if there is an NIT in your home state. Even without hone state you will get it. I studied at NIT Kurukshetra
My friend's rank 6Lacs. Plus ST plus home state he got CS in my college
Last SC rank in my college was around 2 lacs.

The Salary structure of an Engineer:
Basic Pay+DA+ perks (Medical benefits and other minor perks, 46 percent)+HRA (10, 20, and 30 percent depending upon the place of posting)
During the training period, the basic salary would be in the pay band of INR 20,600 Per month.
