Dear Himanshu, Both institutes are good. But being alumni of I can say that both CSE and ECE are good at LPU. Let me share a few details of the CSE programme at LPU. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft. No. You must get a rank below 7000. 2019 last rank in SV University in CSE branch for BC-D girls is 7772 and for ECE is 4200. Here ECE is sometimes more demanded than CSE. 2020 last ranks are not available. Try Shiksha college predictor for admission chances in other colleges. Yes Sujatha, LPU offers a part-time Ph.D. in ECE. Let me share details with you.
Eligibility: You should have a minimum of 55% marks in your master's degree in a relevant subject. After that, you have to qualify for the LPUNEST exam if you have not qualified for a national level test such as GATE, UGC NET, CSIR, GPAT, etc. The entrance will have 70% weightage in selection. After that, you have to appear for an interview and qualify for the same and have 30% weightage for the final selection.
You may avail of scholarships also on the basis of LPUNEST or National Level Test.

That depends on their interest. In CSE mostly you can get only private jobs. In some private companies more work and pressure so you will be stressed. Those who get jobs in top companies they will be happy. In ECE you can get government jobs also. Government jobs are always better than private jobs. But if you can't get a government job the situation like be Software jobs in CSE.
