In my opinion, petroleum engineering is a better career option when compared to chemical engineering. However, only opting for a course in any random college will not help. Hello Karthik,
For general category students to get admission at Thiagarajar college of engineering, Madurai, the cut off should be at least 195/200 and above. So with this cut off you have low chances only. Hence, you may try for other colleges at the counseling or via any other entrance exams. All the best.
