Engineer

Hello Darshana, It's very nice to hear from you even at this stage of 10th that you want to become an engineer. To set aim at so young and age is very good. Now you can work to achieve your aim in life. The procedure is actually very simple. You have to score good marks in your 12th at least 75% and more. In addition you must study in 11th and 12th with the aim of understanding the subject knowledge rather than scoring marks as this will help you go a long way in clearing many entrance examinations that you will have to appear after passing of 12th. You will have to appear for different entrance exams for admissions to engineering colleges. Firstly it will be at the state level that your state demands students to appear for, at National level for admissions to NIT you will have to appear for and clear JEE Mains, for admissions in IIT will have to clear another exam called in JEE Advanced. In addition to all these, if you seek admission in any of the Deemed to be university you need to appear for their entrance exams as well. Best wishes to you.

If you are about take admission in the 11th standard & even at this stage, if you have your aim in life already decided, then it's very good and best for you. Yes, you can hope to become a departmental engineer in mechanical or metallurgical disciplines. For this you first need to complete your engineering in either of these two branches. For this to happen you need to be qualified to take admission in an Engineering College. The basic qualification requires you to have physics chemistry and mathematics in 12th standard for seeking admission in any Engineering College. So while going for 11th be sure that you have physics chemistry and mathematics as subjects of studies till class 12th, then only your aim will be fulfilled. Best wishes to you.
