Yes, most private colleges like UPES, DIT University, Uttaranchal University, and BFIT offer direct admission options. Some private colleges offer direct admission based on Class 12 board exam marks. However, clearing JEE Main improves your chances of getting into better-ranked colleges and may help you avail scholarships.

The possibilities of getting admission to the BITS Hyderabad BPharma course with 230 marks are lower. To get admission to the BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, students are required to appear in BITSAT. The last year cutoff was 151, and in 2024 it was 161. Students have to score more than 151 to get admission.

With a 78.9 percentile in JEE Mains 2026, getting a Computer Science (CS) seat in a top-tier government college is very difficult.

If you just want a government college and are willing to skip CS, you can easily get branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical engineering in your home state.

So, your best option for a Computer Science degree is to apply to private engineering colleges in your state that accept JEE Main scores.

With 57.8 percentile in JEE Main and 73% boards, getting CSE/AI in top government colleges is unlikely. But you still have good chances in private colleges through UPTAC/AKTU or direct admission.

Possible options:

KIET Group of Institutions

ABES Engineering College

Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology

Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology

GLA University

You may get:

CSE

AI/ML

Data Science

IT

Main thing: focus on coding skills, projects, and internships. College matters, but skills matter more for placements.
