For admission to the regular on-campus MCA course of LPU, students must appear for the LPUNEST exam. LPUNEST score forms the most significant criterion for admission selection by the University along with other eligibility criteria like BCA/B.Sc (Computer Science/IT) or equivalent graduation with 55-60% aggregate marks. Applications for LPUNEST 2026 will remain open until January 15, and the booking slots will be available from December 10, 2025. Notably, it will be both an entrance test and a scholarship test (up to 50% fee waiver). Note that such online/distance modes for MCA may have a specific process that doesn't include LPUNEST.

OUAT Entrance Exam, JEE Main and NEET are undergraduate-level entrance exams. The syllabus is the same as the Class 12 Board exam for the Science stream. But, the difficulty of JEE Main and NEET are much higher than the OUAT Entrance Exam. As JEE Main and NEET are entrance exams for Engineering and Medical, the difficulty level and complxity of questions are much higher.

Yes, you can get M.Tech admission without a GATE  in Bangalore colleges through institute specific entrance exams. The seats are sponsored in IITs and NITS. Private and state universities also offer direct admissions via their own tests or merit.
