Yes, this university is a very good university I wanted to apply for it and I applied for it earlier but now I am at UPES. This is a great university with great labs and with great opportunities that you will be getting when you will enjoy the life being there.
my friends are there and they are having their best time.
It is a quite expensive university but the amount of exposure and the number of skills that you will learn and earn is worth paying for.

We can't say robotics and automotive are best in India. There are not much institutes which exclusively have Robotics and Automotive Engineering branches. But, IITs, NITs, IIITs, and top autonomous and private universities are best in fields like Electronics, Embedded Systems, and Communication Systems. Robotics is includes various subjects like Digital Electronics, Microprocessors/ Micro-Controllers. So, getting into any of the top-50 engineering institute and studying in Mechanical/Electronics/Computer Science can move into the field of Robotics and Automotive.

No doubt, Computer Science is best as it open opportunities in various fields like Data Science, Robotics, FinTech, Banking (Robot Process Automation) apart from the typical software development and maintenance work. There are few colleges which offers courses exclusively in the field of robotics. You can find the same in the below link. Most of the subjects which are integral part of Robotics are part of curriculum of most top institutes. Subjects like Digital Electronics, Power Systems, Electronics and Instrumentation, Analog/Digital Communication, Embedded Systems are few of those.
