No, you generally cannot pursue a full-time BTech degree and a Diploma at the same time as they often conflict with attendance requirements, but you can do a BTech via lateral entry like joining 2nd year after Diploma in another college or pursue a part-time or online BTech alongside a Diploma to gain both degrees. The most common path is finishing the Diploma first, then using lateral entry for B.Tech in Bangalore colleges.

The best field after BSc Biotechnology depends on your interests and aspirations. However, top areas include Pharmaceuticals (drug discovery, QA/QC), Clinical Research ( CRA, data management), Bioinformatics, Agricultural Biotech and Environmental Biotech. Students aiming for specialised roles go for a master's degree like M.Sc, M.Tech or MBA in biotechnology or a similar field or the one that adds value to their resume.
