To get admission AKTU for BTech, students have to participate in UPTAC Counselling. It is a centralised counselling process and allocates seats on the basis of JEE Main/ CUET score. Vacant seats, if any are filled through merit basis as per the university's norms. Selected students have to report at the campus for verification of documents. Students have to pay the AKTU BTech admission fees and complete the process.

Guru Tegh Bahadur 4th Centenary Engineering College BTech admission is based on merit and entrance. Students are selected based on academic scores and JEE Main scores.
