Yes, IIT Guwahati has released GATE exam admit card 2026. The link to download GATE hall ticket is available at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates must keep their enrollment ID and password to download admission ticket of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

Yeah, you can 😄

You can do M.Tech without GATE at many private universities. Thapar University, for example, allows non-GATE candidates through its own selection process (based on academics, sometimes a test/interview).

That said, GATE is needed if you want top government institutes (IITs, NITs) or a stipend.
No GATE = private universities like Thapar, VIT, SRM, etc.

So yes — totally possible, just depends on where you want to study.

The placement data for 2024 is the latest available with the statistics of BTech and Integrated MBA+BTech among School of Technology Management and Engineering students being released. Students of BTech had a the highest and average package of INR 5.4 LPA and INR 4.39 LPA, respectively. While for MBA Tech students it was INR 10 LPA (the highest package) and INR 7.96 LPA (Average package).
