The syllabus for Communication Engineering courses is a mixture of core and elective subjects. The core subjects are compulsory for every student to study in each semester because they are meant to provide a strong foundation for the fundamental concepts of the field, important for students to do well at the workplace in the future, leaving no space for customization.

But the elective choices do offer that choice to the students to pick the subjects that match their interests, are easy to understand, give something to explore, and enhance skill-based learning, which gives some room for customization. You can also experiment through proj

To apply for admission to Communications Engineering courses, you need to stay updated about all the admission-related notifications that get released on the official websites of the colleges you're targeting, as the application forms get released in the online mode on the website with enough time for all the applicants to apply.

You just need to fill in all your details correctly, upload the scanned copies of all important documents, and submit the application fee.

A few colleges may still follow the old pattern of offline form filling; it is very less likely to happen, though. Still, to be on the safer side, you may check the college

To get admission to Communications Engineering courses at the UG level, most of the top-ranked colleges consider valid entrance exam scores. You need to get excellent marks in the same to be able to grab a seat for the course.

Having said that, there are some colleges that also give admission on the basis of marks scored in Class 12 board exams and often take extra rounds like the GD or PI to test the capability of the candidates.

Further, a few colleges may give 50-50 weightage to both the parameters. So, you need to check the respective college websites for precise information.

Well, yes. Almost every college in India offering courses in Communications Engineering or related fields charges an admission application fee of approximately INR 500 to INR 3,000, depending on the course level and college ranking and popularity. You need to submit the fee along with the admission form to complete the application process.

Yes, almost all the colleges give some sort of relaxation in terms of marks to students belonging to any of the reserved categories. In general, the relaxation is of 5% marks. So, if you belong to any of the reserved categories and the minimum Communications Engineering eligibility criteria is 60% marks for general category students, you need to get 55% marks. The same rule applied to the entrance exam cutoff marks as well.

With a rank of 55,250 in JEE Mains and 89.0306 marks, getting admitted into an NIT (National Institute of Technology) is achievable, but it will be based on many factors such as the category you fall under, the particular NIT, and the course you are seeking admission to.

- General Category: Your rank may be on the borderline for best NITs but may possibly get admission in some of the newer NITs or branches with a lower cutoff, e.g., Civil Engineering or Mining.
- Reserved Categories: As you are a reserved category student (OBC, SC, ST), your prospects are enhanced considerably because there are lower cutoff ranks in the reserved categori
