CIPET Ahmedabad does not have a management quota for direct admissions to B.E./B.Tech courses; all admissions are by entrance tests only, such as JEE Main, GUJCET, or CIPET-JEE. Candidates are also required to have a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for general and require 40% for reserved categories.

For Plastics Engineering, which has 60 seats, 50% of the total seats are filled by ACPC, that is by GUJCET/JEE Main, and remaining 50% by CIPET-JEE.

CIPET, Ahmedabad, never provides full scholarships covering the full tuition fee. The scholarships are provided under the scheme of merit-based scholarships, covering up to 20-50% of fees upon a high JEE Main or GUJCET rank or academic excellence. Government scholarships for SC/ST/OBC students and potentially low fees under the Gujarat Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana. Proof of income is needed for financial aid by the economically weaker sections. The merit scholarship by PlastIndia Foundation is available for Diploma students, but it does not provide a full-fledged scholarship. Candidates apply for this by means of admission

Candidates must have completed 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories) in mathematics, physics and chemistry in order to be considered for a B.E. or B.Tech programme at CIET, Coimbatore. TNEA counseling is the main method of admission which is determined by TNEA rank and grades from the 12th grade. There is no admission exam needed for the selection process which takes into account the TNEA rank list. There are management quota seats available but they require a direct application and come with higher costs. Candidates with appropriate studies from the vocational stream are also eligible.

Coimbatore has the private Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology (CIET).  It was established in 2001, is approved by AICTE, and is affiliated with Anna University in Chennai.  CIET offers degree courses in undergraduate and graduate engineering as well as being a self-funded institution.  Although the college does not have government funding, it maintains educational standards through affiliation and accreditation. With admissions and expenses managed privately, the institute stands out for facilities, industrial association, and placement.

Straightforward acceptance of Christ  Since B.E./B.Tech admissions are mostly determined by TNEA counseling, which is based on Class 12 merit and TNEA rank, the King Engineering College is normally unavailable.  However, admission without TNEA may be possible for management quota seats, necessitating a direct application to the college at a higher cost.  Depending on their Diploma grades, Diploma holders may also be eligible for lateral admission in the second year.  50% in 10+2 with PCM for the general category or 45% for SC/ST are eligible.
