You can definitely get admission to BTech Civil Engineering without giving the entrance exam. There are more than 990 colleges that take students on the basis of Class 12 board exam marks. Having said that, the top IITs and NITs in India strictly give admission on the basis of entrance exam scores.
It is always better to give the entrance test and get excellent marks in the same as it gives you a backup option for admission. Rest, you must work hard and score well in both Class 12 and entrance exam to grab a seat at a decent college for BTech Civil Engineering.

While the defence quota facilitates reserved seats, it doesn't necessarily equate to a waiver of tuition fees. Tuition fees are generally uniform for all students, regardless of the quota under which they are admitted. However, certain scholarships and financial aid programs are available for defence personnel wards, which can significantly reduce or cover educational expenses. It's advisable to consult the official websites of the respective institutions or contact their admissions offices for detailed information on fee structures and available financial assistance.
