Placement prospects for CSE at Chandigarh University are strong because of multiple supportive features. The CSE & specialised programs with IBM provide not only curriculum learning but also mentorship, tools, labs like big data lab, predictiveanalytics, AI/ML & planning labs, which give hands-on experience. Faculty having industry experience and certifications helps in bridging the gap between theory and employer expectations. As far as I know, I would like to clarify that Chandigarh University does not offers B.Tech in CSE, it offers B.E. in CSE, which is way better.

It has accreditations from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). This means the degree is valued not just in India but all over the world. The dept has advanced labs like the Microsoft Innovation Centre, IBM Software Lab and Virtusa Robotics & Automation Center. Students get to work on real-time projects and learn through workshops, seminars and expert sessions. 

Placements are next level. The university is known as North India's placement hub for a reason. Big companies like Microsoft, IBM, Wipro, Infosys and many more hire from here and at amazing salaries. 

Placements for BE CSE in Information Security at Chandigarh University are quite mixed but still provide good scope. It is not the case that everyone gets high packages, but students with consistent skills and hard work have landed really great offers. The variety of recruiters reflects a balanced placement scene, starting from mass recruiters to premium product-based companies. For many students, the placement window stays open with a wide range of opportunities.

CU's on-campus recruitment for CSE students is quite favourable. The university has equipped students with labs, project work, and IBM-sponsored certifications, which help them during the hiring process. Also, CU's engineering wing being ranked 31 in NIRF 2025 helps in drawing attention. On the drive days, companies tend to visit in good numbers. The process typically includes aptitude, coding or technical tests, and then interviews. Many students get offers through these campus drives.

CSE is a broad field and in Chandigarh University it comes in many shapes. The core B.E. Computer Science is the base. Then there are options with focus like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Cloud, IoT, and Data Science. Some are honors courses and some are industry collaborated programs with IBM, TCS, and Microsoft. These help students learn updated skills. Along with Bachelor courses, there are M.E. programs too such as CSE, Cloud Computing, Robotics, and AI. In short, the structure cover both undergrad and postgrad level with wide range of choices. This let students explore simple computer Science or deep special subjects in one campus.

Chandigarh University gives a programme in CSE with focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. For admission, you need 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects. Along with this, you can take Chemistry, Computer Science, Biology, Biotechnology, Informatics Practices or IT as the third subject. Minimum 70 percent marks are required in total.
And if you meet the eligibility criteria you need to pass the CUCET exam which is mandatory for CSE AI & ML and this is not just a test, this also gives you a chance to avail several scholarships. By scoring well in CUCET, students can get up to 100 percent scholarships. The university gives Rs 210 Crores worth of scholarships, helping students a lot. To keep the scholarship, students need to maintain a CGPA of 7.5, which motivates them to study well.
