Though a BTech degree is enough to provide the technical knowledge and great career options in the engineering field, an M.Tech degree is usually for students who are interested in research-based, in-depth study of a subject.

Your path for R&D based roles and a PhD will open after an MTech. You'll get teaching opportunities, and skill & knowledge upgradation.
