The basic eligibility requirement for the B.E. programme at SSN College of Engineering is pass 12 with a minimum of 45% aggregate. Students can reach the official site to know about any entrance examinations given by the college.

The IIIT Bangalore M.Tech Cutoff 2025 has been released for admission for all categories under the All India quota. The closing cutoff in the last round for 2025 was 668 for the General AI category candidates. Whereas, in 2024, the closing cutoff in the last round was 570, indicating  that the competition has increased for the General AI category candidates from 2024 to 2025.

IIIT Bangalore GATE COAP Cutoff 2026 has been released for admission to the M.Tech course specialisations for all categories under the All India quota. For the General AI category candidates, the first round cutoff score ranged from 609 to 653, wherein M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the most sought-after course, with a last round cutoff score of 653.

The IIIT Bangalore GATE COAP cutoff 2026 has been released for Round 1 admission. The cutoff was released in the form of scores for admission to the MTech specialisations, such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and  Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, wherein the first-round cutoff scores ranged from 609 to 653 for the students belonging to the General AI quota.

According to WBJEE domicile requirement, students should have been staying in West Bengal continously for atleast 10 years, as of admission year. If not, then their parents should be permanent residents of state.

For UG students, a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the Uni of Greenwich would cost INR 22 Lakhs for full-time students. Part-time students can pursue the same for INR 11.65 Lakhs. An MSc in Computer Science takes around INR 22.85 Lakhs for full-time students. A part-time Master's would cost INR 13.85 Lakhs.

Quantum university is a well known university in north India for its B.Tech courses as it is offering it at an affordable price and that too with a god ratio of placement better than many universities.

Quantum also offers many interdisciplinary programs with the specific course.

Thapar University is clearly better for B.Tech CSE than Chitkara University.

Why Thapar > Chitkara (for CSE):

  • Stronger brand & reputation

  • Better placements (higher average & top packages)

  • More competitive peer group

  • Better faculty, coding culture, and alumni network

Chitkara is decent if:

  • You want lower fees

  • Easier admissions

  • More hand-holding and structured discipline

Verdict:
If you can afford it and get in → choose Thapar.
If budget or admission is a constraint → Chitkara is okay, but not in the same league.
