There are more than 20 BTech colleges are there in Thane including both private and semi government colleges. Some of the top colleges are A. P. Shah Institute of Technology, New Horizon Institute of Technology & Management, Shree L.R. Tiwari College of Engineering, Theem College of Engineering, and many others.
Admission are usually based on JEE Main and MHT CET entrance exam score basis.

KCG College of Technology has an entrance based admission process for MTech. The minimum eligibility requirement for the course is Graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate in the same domain froma recognsied university. The college accepts TANCET scores for M.Tech admissions.

To be able to enroll at any course offered by the College of Science and Engineering of the University of Edinburgh, Indian students are required to submit proof of completion of Standard XII with an overall average of 80%+ and minimum 80% in all required subjects. Any subject requiring grade A must have a score of 85%. Standard maths is also required and Applied mathematics won't be applicable
