Hello Dheeraj Kumar, it's very nice to hear from you that you have got admission in electrical engineering. Why worry? It's a great branch with huge potential for employment. Power sector in India is booming and GoI has set tough goals for itself in the field of non fossil fuel based power plants. This is bound to result in demand of professionals in this area. Best wishes to you.

Hello Rajesh Kumar, it's pretty interesting to compare courses under medicine and engineering. Let me attempt. Presently in India, there is acute shortage of trained doctors. Hence doctors even with B.A. MS have huge potential for earning. On the other hand, food technology will definitely SEE better days in the years to come. India is way behind compared with developed countries in this field. This indeed is going to result in great opportunities for professionals in this field. Hence I would like you to select the subject that interests you the most. Best wishes to you.

Hello Choudhari Palbi, aah, seeking admission in engineering without any entrance exam? If you are lucky enough to be domicile of Tamil Nadu then you get admission based on 12th marks. Else you need to appear for one or the other entrance exam. Of course some deemed to be universities give admissions without entrance exam to the rank holders of different boards for 12th. As last resort, you can think of seeking admission in management quota of private engineering colleges. Best wishes to you.

Hello Ruchira Chandrakant, I am afraid that ranking in JEE Mains examination is if no use for seeking admission in engineering colleges in Maharashtra. This is so since admissions are based on performance in MHT CET examination. However students from outside Maharashtra can seek admission against All India Quota, based on ranking in JEE Mains. Best wishes to you.

Hello Shaban Shah, you have raised a very interesting and pertinent point. Let me try to answer. Directorate of technical education of each state, publishes I table wherein different branches available for lateral admission for graduation in engineering is mentioned. Against each branch are mentioned branches of Polytechnic which are eligible. You need to download this table and SEE for yourself if Diploma in civil engineering is eligible for degree in computer engineering. That's all. Best wishes to you.

Hello Kalaikumar S, if I may say so your ranking at about 8.5Lakh out of 12 Lacs is surely on the lower side. If you are interested in NIT's, I feel that you should take a drop of one year and sincerely prepare for next year's JEE Mains. However if your state admits students in engineering colleges based on JEE Main ranking then you still have a chance of getting admission. Best wishes to you.

Hello Vinayak Velhal, NTA had announced cutoff percentile for all categories of students. Those who obtained this or more were eligible for admissions in NIT's ascwell as to appear for JEE Advanced. For the state's who admit students based on ranking in JEE Mains, there is no cutoff. Anyone with valid score can apply. Best wishes to you.
