Yes, Allahabad University offers a three-year full-time BCA programme in self-financed and general mode. This programme is spread over three years and six semesters. To be eligible for this course, students must have completed their Class 12 with Science or Commerce stream. In case the student has passed Class 12 from a recognised board other than the Science/ Commerce, they must have studied Mathematics/ Statistics/ IT/ CS/ Information Science as one of the subjects in their Class 12. Final selection to BCA, however, is subject to CUET UG exam conducted by NTA.

Allahabad University BCA admission is not based on the applicant's merit in Class 12. It is based on their performance in CUET UG. However, they will only get an admission if they have a valid CUET UG score. At the undergraduate level, Allahabad University offers a three-year BCA programme in the field of Software and IT. Candidates must have taken the CUET UG test conducted by NTA in order to be considered for admission to the BCA programme at Allahabad University. A three-year, full-time BCA curriculum in the general and self-financed modes is available from Allahabad University. Placements: Nearly 85 to 90% of my course got placed through the on-campus drive. The highest package offered was in 2025, which was 10 LPA, and the lowest was about 2 LPA. The top recruiting companies are startup and service-based, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. About 80 to 85% students got internships.

Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the college are Wi-Fi, CCTV cameras throughout the lobby, fully air-conditioned classrooms, and a well-furnished and equipped library. Many self-help books and extra books beyond studies are present in a good variety. The food quality at mess is also good. A large canteen area, as well as sports and games facilities, are also available.

Faculty: The teachers are well qualified, highly educated, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also very good. The teachers are quite supportive and helpful. The course curriculum is updated, and it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exam is above average to crack and score good marks. The passing percentage is 90 to 95%.

Other: The course is related to the core technical industry, which is now in demand. The college is the best place to live your college life, and along with that, you can study during the college hours themselves.

Placements: BCA 2024-27, many students opt for higher studies after BCA as there are no more opportunities for BCA students. No campus placement support at that time, maybe provided in the future. Many students do free or paid internships. There is very supportive staff for academic related doubts.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is enabled in classroom, and library service is provided free of cost. Students can use free high-speed Wi-Fi and access online study materials on the internet. Hostel facilities are provided with adequate facilities. Hostels are in good condition for a student to live and excel in academics.

Faculty: Faculty members are good and interactive. Frequent exams are conducted in each semester, these frequent exams include class tests and mid semester examination followed by practical examinations and end semester examination. Semester exam is challenging in nature.

Other: It has highly attractive course, with industry-oriented syllabus designed. One can use subjects taught in this course to excel his/her skills to fulfill industry requirements. Events and fests are conducted on campus by different departments to ensure student engagement and personality development.

My college life and Me at Allahabad.

Placements: My batch was quite good and the students were good in programming but there were not many campus placement options here at my time. But now they have tied up with MNIT so we can hope for better future placements.

Infrastructure: Allahabad University is very old so much of its infrastructure is of very old times but they renovated it very well and added more buildings with newer and better technology. I forgot to mention but my college also has multiple grounds and each of them is pretty big.

Faculty: The curriculum at my time was pretty outdated and they used to conduct exams mostly every 16-17 days and covered the semester in 2.5 months. But they have updated the syllabus now for newer batches and the exam pressure as of now is quite well. Also, the labs are good.

Other: I chose BCA because of my computer and tech background but I am not so good in coding and other stuff. However, college life is pretty decent regular fest and other circular activities happen regularly.

It's a good college if you think to take admission in it. It is worth of money.

Placements: 75 to 80% of students are placed across India. The highest package offered is about 10 LPA, and the lowest is about 2 LPA to 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are service-based companies. About 70 to 80% of students got internships in the BCA course in startup or service-based companies. Top roles offered are tech-based.

Infrastructure: It is a very old university that carries the heritage of British India. Facilities provided by the university are good like Wi-Fi coverage throughout the campus. Labs are quite good in terms of quality and number of computers. As there are no hostel facilities provided by the college. But there is canteen in arts faculty. Sports, games, and play area are available.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified as it is a government institution. The selection process here is professors are quite difficult, so the teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum is updated, and it makes the students study-ready. Semester exams are very difficult like the paper is easy, but the checking is quite hard. Passing percentage is 80%.

Other: This course is related to the core technical concept. Best thing is that the fees are affordable, and it is about 3 years.

College infrastructure is very good.

Placements: Placement is not very good. No companies were recruited here to offer placement opportunities. The highest salary package offers here are 3 LPA, and a very small number of students can only get it. There is only 30% placement. There is no internship opportunity in this course. Only there is a high chance of placement is in B.Tech.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very good. There are 2 sports grounds in the Science faculty. There are 3 faculty members: science, arts, and commerce faculty. There is campus Wi-Fi for all students. There is great scope for sports and games. There are 14 hostels at this college. The quality and facilities of food available in the mess are not so good.

Faculty: Faculty members were very good. They all are well educated and well knowledgeable in their field. All have qualified for Ph.D. Semester exams were easy; you can easily score good marks. But there are very few policies related to back if you get back in back paper; then your whole semester will back.
